On February 3, 2011, our school was released early due to the prediction of cold temperatures and snow. Classes were also canceled the next day. We were excited, and the forecast predicted snow to begin around midnight. We went out at night, to experience the joy of snowflakes fluttering on our faces. We could not wait until the next morning. Our happiness faded away when we realized that there was only ice. But we relished the cold temperatures, which came in as a treat for hot Houston.

It SNOWED in Hot Houston!
On December 4, 2009, it snowed 2 inches in the Houston Metropolitan Area! The day started in the mid 40's with cloudy skies. Soon rain began falling which then mixed with sleet and snow. By the time we came home from school at 4:40, there was a white blanket outside! We were excited but the next day called for clear, sunny skies, which melted all that was left.
