Freezing Temperature in Houston!

This morning, there was a thin layer of ice covering my dad's car! I could also see my breath in the air. Reaching temperatures around freezing is uncommon in Houston, especially as early as November.

Eric Berger wrote on Houston Chronicle’s SciGuy:

“Parts of the Houston region froze on Friday morning, including Angleton, Cleveland, and Conroe. It’s really early for this. According to NOAA, there’s just a 10 percent chance of Houston (in this case, Bush Intercontinental Airport) recording a freeze during any given year before Nov. 5. For Hobby Airport, the corresponding date is Nov. 17. But when the air is dry, it cools quicker.”
